While I know from e-mail, that this style of acting is being taught and used in many places around the world, often those who write to me, discuss my work on other parts of the web, in magazines or news papers, refer to books I wrote as much as ten years ago. Mosaic Acting has grown exponentially in that time. MA has been refined,and expanded. Think of it this way, are you playing a ten year old version of your favorite video game,or using Windows 95?
Since most students/actors are not in the habit of challengeing their teachers/directors, I wonder if these teacher/students/actors/directors are getting the many upgrades that I have made to Mosaic Acting over the last fifteen years, if they aren’t, they’re not getting the most from Mosaic Acting.

MOSAIC ACTING AND WHAT YOU WILL FIND ON EACH OF THESE DVDS

Mosaic Acting is designed in two sections, which roughly correspond to old school’s “on book-off book” phases of rehearsal, although “off book” is essentially a misnomer when it comes to Mosaic Acting. The WRT, as it utilizes multiple learning modalities, is practically a perfect whole brain teaching/learning tool. It is for that reason that actors are, keeping in mind the relativity of this term in relation to Mosaic Acting, “off book” in 1/3 to 1/2 of the time normally allotted for that process in traditional rehearsal. In Mosaic Acting, actors are never on stage with books-in-hand.

DISK I

This disc features three actors who had had no prior experience with Mosaic acting, puting them on the same level of many of those watching. Two of these actors work on a short scene using many variations the WRT. The other actor applies WRT to monologues.
All actors on Disc I & Disc II will engage in the Emotionology exercises and discussions, as well as any general discussion regarding the theory of Mosaic Acting.

DISK II

This disc features actors experienced with these techniques. The “off book” stage of Mosaic Acting,will follow the same basic format, While most of the exercises/techniques of MA can be used in conjunction with the WRT to great effect, many only reach their full creative potential after actors are comfortable with their lines. This happens quickly in Mosaic Acting because of the dramatic spike in the learning curve that accompanies the application of cutting edge teaching/learning theory and technique. Actors are “off book” in 1/3 to 1/2 of the time usually needed for that process. Disc II will focus on those tecniques.
